Everton Mobile: 4 Checks to Avoid a Costly Mistake

What is Everton Mobile and how much does it cost?

Everton Mobile is a new SIM only mobile service launched by Everton Football Club, with plans at £15, £20 and £25 a month. It runs on the O2 and Vodafone networks, and you pick one when you sign up.

ISPreview reported the launch on 15 October, and we have since read the plans, terms and FAQs on the Everton Mobile website. The service is a trading name of Sport Telecoms Limited, registered in Northern Ireland.

This is a fan-led product with a phone plan underneath. If you support the club, the extras might appeal. If you simply want a good SIM only deal, the sensible approach is the same as ever: look at what you get for the monthly price, check the small print, and compare it with other deals.

Key takeaways

  • Everton Mobile has three SIM only plans: Essential at £15, Plus at £20 and Ultimate at £25 a month.
  • Essential and Plus run on 30 day rolling terms, while Ultimate is a 24 month contract.
  • The club extras are chances to win in monthly prize draws, not guaranteed perks.
  • The Ultimate plan rises by £1.50 a month every April, according to the Everton Mobile FAQs.

What do the Everton Mobile plans include?

All three Everton Mobile plans include unlimited UK minutes and texts, and the Everton Mobile FAQs say all tariffs support 4G and 5G at no additional tariff cost. Access to 5G depends on your phone and on coverage where you are.

Essential, at £15 a month, comes with a 25GB data allowance. Plus, at £20 a month, and Ultimate, at £25 a month, both offer unlimited UK data.

Roaming differs by plan and by network. On O2, the Essential 25GB allowance can be used at home or in the EU at no extra cost, and Plus includes 35GB of EU roaming a month, with extra data charged at £4.20 per GB beyond that. Ultimate includes EU roaming under a 35GB monthly fair use limit, with the same £4.20 per GB for extra data, plus 35GB a month in eligible destinations outside the EU.

On Vodafone, Essential and Plus use Vodafone’s Europe Traveller daily rate, which the Everton Mobile FAQs say is currently £2.75 a day, charged only on days you use your phone in an eligible European destination. Ultimate on Vodafone includes Europe Zone 1 roaming with 35GB of EU data a month.

You can use your phone as a hotspot, though data cannot be pooled across separate SIMs, and Wi-Fi Calling is supported on both networks on compatible phones. Adult content is blocked by default, and you can ask customer services to remove the block.

Are the Everton Mobile club perks guaranteed?

No, they are chances to win. Every Everton Mobile plan comes with entry to prize draws that run every month, and the perks you can win depend on the plan you choose.

Essential gives you chances to win stadium tours. Plus adds signed shirts. Ultimate adds match tickets, premium experiences and exclusive calls with players, according to the Everton Mobile FAQs.

The prize draw terms, including how to enter, are published separately by Everton Mobile, so read them before you treat a draw as part of the value of the plan. A prize draw is a nice bonus. It is not a discount on your bill.

There is also a launch offer. If you buy Ultimate before 11:59pm UK time on Sunday 25 October 2026, and keep paying each month until June 2027, you get a Forever Blue+ Membership for the 2027 to 2028 season. Everton says it will email the membership in June 2027, limited to one per account, and the full terms are on its site.

What should you check before you sign up for Everton Mobile?

Start with the contract length, because that is where the plans differ most. The £15 Essential and £20 Plus plans are 30 day rolling plans, and the FAQs say you can cancel by giving 30 days’ notice. They are not subject to an annual April price increase.

Ultimate is different. It is a 24 month contract, and the FAQs say its price goes up by £1.50 a month every April. That amount is confirmed to you in pounds and pence when you sign up, so the second year costs more than the headline £25. If you cancel before the end of the minimum term, an early termination charge may apply, based on the months left and your monthly tariff cost.

Next, choose your network with care. Everton Mobile says the perks are the same on O2 and Vodafone, but roaming is not. Check coverage at your home and workplace on the O2 and Vodafone coverage checkers before you pick, because actual speeds and signal vary by location and phone.

Then look at the practical bits. The site says eSIM is supported on compatible phones, and you can keep your number with free PAC porting. Our guide to eSIM vs SIM explains what to check on your handset first.

Finally, weigh it against the alternatives. We also looked at another newer SIM brand in our Honest Mobile checks, and our phone contract length guide shows why a rolling plan can be easier to leave than a long contract.

Prices and offers can change, so check the current terms on the Everton Mobile site before you commit. A 24 month contract is a long time to be tied to a SIM, so be sure you want it.
